In Memoriam
Ewing Automotive was founded in 1976 in the backyard garage of co-owner Billy Ewing. Billy’s interest in the auto industry started with his love of drag racing. He was a top driver in the NHRA and IHRA Pro Stock divisions for several years. Employees at Ewing Automotive include technicians that are ASE-certified in several fields, including general maintenance.
Sadly Billy has passed away, his wife, Brenda is keeping Billy's vision alive and is happy to serve the customers Billy loved so much.

Ewing Automotive offers complete automotive and light truck diagnostics. Today’s vehicles are run by several computers or control modules. To give you an idea of what I am talking about, the engine is managed by an electronic control module, or ECM. These control modules monitor and control the fuel, emissions, temperature, timing of the engine, braking, starting, charging, transmission shifting, and speed.

Billy Ewing says to be an auto mechanic, or technician, “You have to know more than a doctor because the human body hasn’t changed since the first one was created. In the automotive field, we can’t say the same. The automobile has and will constantly change."
Comprehensive In-House Repairs
Ewing Automotive does a lot of in-house work as opposed to just being part changers. They do all their own certified cylinder head, surface lathe, and mill port work. They also repair items on vehicles by repairing existing parts when possible.
“At Ewing Automotive, we go in-depth to repair vehicles that many other shops can’t because of a lack of experience and knowledge,” says Billy Ewing. “It takes years of experience to become a good mechanic by seeing and hearing different problems that you can’t learn in a classroom.”

Since its founding in 1942 by Alvin C. Ruxer, JASPER Engines & Transmissions has been a pioneer in remanufacturing drivetrain components.
